V1.0.0.8   15Nov2018

There has been a major re-write of the filtering and alerts process in this revision. The listed spots are now automatically validated on the minute (ie 00 seconds) so that out-of-time spots are removed. The Update NOW button causes immediate download and filtering but it then goes back to the automatic process even if it is only a few seconds away.

Alert emails are only sent at 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 seconds past each minute, not immediately. This is intentional to avoid major timing issues. Note that an initial alert email may be sent after program startup if an alert condition exists on the displayed entries. This helps test the email alerts option.

.. The alerts are not being received even though the Emailing text and box appears, goes green for 4-5 seconds then disappears.
My testing shows that emails are usually available after 5-10 seconds when using ThunderSMTP. Browser-based email users should use the Refresh option after 10-15 seconds if the message does not automatically appear. Those using application-based email software should do a Send/Receive after 10-15 seconds.
IMPORTANTLY: Check your SPAM folder as the alerts are probably in there. If using Gmail (etc), you may need to follow the Gmail setup instructions file provided in the distribution download ZIP. { Using GMail with WSPRView.txt }

.. There is an ' /log' option to create a partial log file that shows what and when things happen. In the case of the Authentication Credentials Invalid error below, it shows as 'SMTP Secure Send error Authentication credentials invalid.'
It also shows what triggered an alert with an entry like 'Timer Alert - 2018-11-15 01:22,LX9BSC,50.294501,-3dBm,DK8NE,298Km.' It is mainly there to diagnose issues.

.. Authentication Credentials Invalid : typically the wrong password is set for the SMTP server.
Start with '/noalert' on the command line to disable alerts so that it won't try to email anything and you can go into the Email/Colours setup without errors, copy and paste the correct details (eg smtp account name, account password) into the Server and/or Password box, Save/Close and restart the software without the '/noalert' option. It is preset to ALWAYS use port 587.
If all else fails, start the software with /reset in the command line parameters JUST ONCE. Exit, restart then immediately go into the Email/Colours setup screen, edit the details then Save/Close. Make sure your email address is valid - do not leave it as 'Your email'....

.. Command line parameters /smtpport=, /smtphost=, /smtpemail= etc don't work.
These have been removed since all email setup is now done in the Email/Colours setup screen.

If all else fails, start the software with /reset in the command line parameters JUST ONCE then exit. Start again normally and if the error persists then email me the details plus screen shots to show the symptoms so that I can attempt a 'fix'.

I have tried to solve all known / obvious bugs but users usually manage to do things that I don't do so there may still be issues which would then need to be fixed in the next release.
