VK4ADC's Web
About this site
This web site seems to be consistently under attack by hackers, a recent attack was successful and the site went down to be replaced by a (faulty) link to https://ushort.today/.... Well it is back to normal for now. Given that only useful data is on the site - no users data etc.. - and the only admin user and password details are unique, there is nothing to be gained by hacking. However, if it continues at the current rate then the only availability of these same documents and images will be from a way-back machine (maybe) as this domain will disappear. VK4ADC@31 January 2026
Well this hacking has happened too many times now so this site should still have the same info available but has been transformed from a dynamic to a static format site. No PHP, just straight HTML pages. Hack that !!!
Any previous search engine links will now be invalid and remain so until the spiders re-find the new structure. Not my fault, blame the hackers... VK4ADC @11Feb26
SOME ARTICLES ARE KNOWN TO BE MISSING, ALL DATA FILES (PDF & ZIP) HAVE BEEN RE-LOADED BUT LINKS TO THEM MAY BE MISSING. 22 Aug 2025

Amateur radio VK4ADC - an Australian amateur radio web site with general/technical references of interest to those who want to discover more about Amateur Radio.
The "original VK4ADC web site" was effectively lost on 29 December 2023 due to a web server change resulting in the Joomla Content Management System (CMS) failing to run at all on a new/replacement server - all necessaary due to the previous hosting server suffering a software failure.
Most of the original pages have been saved as individual PDFs available for download from Updated content/PDF Links, some of my project executables are available separately as ZIP files from Updated ZIPs links
The previous site will never be totally rebuilt, some 150-odd articles are involved. Only any new project (or selected newish and active) pages will be made available off the menu into the future.
Note that it is and will stay an archive, no new posts, logins or messaging supported.
My background, in brief, is that I was trained as a radio technician in air-ground & HF radiocommunications and followed that up with continued work in the technical arena over many years. That has given me a fairly broad experience and knowledge base in matters electronics, communications and computing.
I don't claim to have all of the answers - but I usually have the drive, experience and vision to create successful outcomes in my projects and other technical activities.
I hope you enjoy visiting and exploring my web site.
